Tuning 101?
Hi,
I was just given a 93 EG w/ 220k D15b7 engine. I'm going to fix up engine and build a head D16z6 or Y8 mini me. However, i realy don't understand the basics of mechanical tuning, ie cam adv/ret, and how to set proper ignition timing for max HP. If I were to put a Crower stage 2 cam w/ an adjustiabe cam gear how would I maximise power/effiency. Can you only tune timing on a dyno or can you do it through afr and egt gauges. Which do you tune first ecu w/ Crome or cam/ingnition.
