Default Tune or ECU?

OK, i have a JDM B18C1 with USDM tranny
MODS:
Comptech Ice box without top of the box gone(cover for filter)
Skunk2 Intake Manifold
Ferra Valve trane
STOCK GSR cams and cam gears
Skunk2 ECU
VAFC(only the RPM is hooked up)
DC Header
ITR Cat
GSR Muffler

I know mix matched all to hell but i bought this car this way. The guy took out the Skunk2 Stage 2 cams. So, now the car is running rich as hell and even throws a check engine light when the O2 senor is saturated.

What to do?

Would getting a new ECU like a chipped P28 be a good idea or should i just tune with the VAFC................I don't know **** about tunning and would have to take it a shop.

If the ecu is chipped already, I would tune with that. The VAFC is limited in what it can really do.

That is what I was thinking. I just need to save up money to buy some Skunk2 Stage 2 cams. Also, I am worried about killing my O2 sensors since i am running rich..........that would just be more money.

by skunk 2 ecu you mean one of those ''skunk'' chips?

generic chips will make you run rich, make that very rich.

just buy a chip with stock specs or midly modified and swap it.

If your running so rich changing cams wont do much for you...

Skunk2 ecu.....supposedly. I don't really know. How do i tell? The rev limit is at 9100 RPMS and VTEC kicks in at 6K. The BUTT dyno feels like it ain't making any power after 8K just a bunch of damn noise and the smell of gas!

well, you would not be able to check what the maps look like without an eprom reader; but you can take the ecu cover off and check to see if the eprom is on a socket, if so, you can replace it.

I really would not rev over stock rev limit...wich is 8200. 9100 with your setup is stupid and pointless.
your prolly running ultra rich up that high...specially since your prolly making like 50 pounds of torque

Considering you already have a chipped ecu, you should look into a local uberdata, crome or hondata tuner to tune your vehicle using your chipped ecu.
Or you could look into ordering a good basemap from a reputable tuner

I'd suggest tuning it yourself. Check out pgmfi.org for information on tuning. Damn almost all of my posts seem to include pgfmi.org in it.

not so tough b/c the ECU programming is over my head. But still thinking on getting the ecu reflashed or chipped for stock settings.

Ok, since my car is OBD1 does that mean I should just be able to plug the chip in? No soldering? If so then i can do that! Oh, it would be great, if that is the case.

I sense a lack of communication here...

You will have to solder. Or someone can chip it for you. It's really not all that hard if you get the right parts.
