Troubles shooting with Integra.. HELP!
Ok so last night I got off work and was driving home car running just fine. I stopped to get gas and when I went to start it back up I just heard a click and I lost all power. It won't turn over and all dash lights and others are really dim. So I checked my battery, connections, grounds, and fuses checked the battery voltage and it was normal. So I had my friend come Down. We went through everything and decide to hook jumper cables Up and all the sudden had full power. So it then it turned over but wouldn't start. It sounded like it was not getting spark. But we could smell gas. Then when we took the cables off no power at all. No dash lights nothing. It threw a code 15 with is ignition out put signal, and I'm not sure exactly what that means I'm stumped. And also my main relay is making a really weird ticking sound. Help please!!!
You have a grounding problem most likely, it could also be a connection problem on the power side.
Clicking relays is a sign of a grounding problem in most cases, so I would start with the main grounds, DO NOT just "eyeball" the connections, disconnect, clean and reconnect, do the main three (3) batt. post and cable clamp, batt. to chassis and chassis to engine.
It can't hurt to redo the VC to rad support ground and the thermostat housing grounds, although not part of the "main" grounds they are important, especially the thermostat housing grounds.
If redoing the grounds does not fix the problem, redo all the main powers, batt, post and cable clamp, batt, to starter motor, batt. to engine bay fuse box, the main fuses in the engine bay fuse box, [screw down ones], while your at it, [although if batt. has a full charge it may not be needed, but can't hurt] redo the alt. charge line at the alt. and the engine bay fuse box. 94
