Default trouble torquing down main bolts

I am having a little trouble torquing down the main bolts on a b18a. I did the first step in order. On the second step I tried to get them down to spec. But it would click before the bolt would move. I don’t think this is right. We applied arp torque lube for "accurate" torquing. We inspected the bolt and everything is fine with them. Any help would be great. Thanks fellas.

sounds like the bolts may be stretched...Are these new or used main bolts?
If used, get new ones or ARP studs...

If new, Is your torque wrench accurate? Double check it against another. Important bolts like that need to be precise. Snap=onmakes a rally nice digital one ut its a little pricy...

And if you did use stock bolts, your not supposed to use arp lube; your supposed to use oil.
big difference
