Default trimming polyurethane....

i need to make a bushing.

so if i order some polyurethane 1.5" x 6" rod, can i just use regular tools?

i need to drill a hole in the middle, and it needs to be about .5" tall and about the size of a quarter.

so how can i trim the polyurethane rod?

please say a drill and saw will work. lol

thanks

(btw: i will measure the exact size i need before i cut of course, i just need to know what to buy to cut it)

Drill a hole in the middle. Put a bolt through it and tighten it with a nut. Now insert the bolt into a drill and turn the urethane against the wheel on a bench grinder or sander until you remove enough material. Measure each end as you go so one side isn't bigger than the other.

You may be able to (get someone to) turn it on a lathe for you as well.
