Tricking IACV :: 8-15 ohm resistor:: HELP
I just bought a new IACV for b16 swap and i hooked it up and it worked it controls my idle but my CEL is on for code 14 (iacv) It probably thinks its clogged but it is good.
The reason it reads as clogged is because i have an aftermarket throttle body that will not allow the water to pass through the IACV into the throttle body. The water goes in the IACV and stops at the intake manifold.(where it normally passes through into the TB)
SO....i want to know if there is a way to loop a wire to a resistor to trick my ecu into thinking my IACV is NOT clogged

That's not the solution. Bypass the coolant to the tb first of all. I just posted this in the "bdl throttle body" thread.
I don't think that would cause an IACV code though. Did you reset the ECU? Once the ECU throws that code, it will stay on there even after you've fixed the problem until you reset the ECU. If you ran the engine with the IACV unplugged at any point then it will throw that code.
