I've been browsing some archive threads about this subject but no one never really answered the question. I know alot of people with B16A's or B18C's that have the same problem.
My engine has less than 15000m and I never abused the transmission.
But all of the sudden I can't go in reverse. It's like something is blocking the shifter to enter the gear. From what I heard it maybe the shift forks (3).

I will bring the car to my mechanic, but I just wanted to get some inputs from people that are in the same situation (or had the same issue)

And if it's the shift forks.... I know they are 55$ each.. but about how much to get them installed.

Have you tried going from 4th to reverse?

ive heard that even from 1st to reverse helps a little. Otherwise it could be a bad synchro.

 

The reverse gear isn't syncronized. Thats why it grinds like crazy if you try to go into reverse while moving.

Even with the different tricks I am not able to put it in reverse.
The problem is due to the reverse fork.

 

It's no big deal to change the reverse selector if you're comfortable with pulling the transmission and breaking it open.
