Default Transmission question

Ok,

I have a 1992 Integra RS. I still have the crappy RS tranny (cable) and i want something with a better gearing. I'm building a non-vtec engine and i'll stay N/A with a little bit of nitrous.

I was thinking about getting a 94+ hydro GSR tranny. Keeping only the gearing and swap it into my cable LS casing. I want to know if this bolt on or i'll need major modifications to do it. I was thinking about a del sol or an SI tranny but that'd be too close for me. The GSR would be perfect.

The cable b16 tranny would fit, but it's a pain to find one in good shape you can't find the parts for them up here in Montreal. The best bet would be the B17a tranny...but try to find one

I need input and suggestions

thanks

If you want to use a Hydro tranny you must get a conversion.

Swapping gears is an option. Contact Mista Bone vi IM and see what he says about swapping gears, although he only has delt with D series trannies he may be able to tell you if generation swapping is possible.

To make things easy on yourself I suggest keeping an eye out for a B16 or B17 tranny.

OR....getting a cable-hydro conversion kit. http://www.hasport.com

Yeah, I'll try to contact Mista bone, he already gave me a few tips on nitrous. I would like to stick with the cable trannys tho. I'll see.

What about keeping my RS and swapping the 3rd, 4th and 5th gear of a GSR tranny ? Would it be possible?
