transmission fill plug wont remove, help!
Have used all resources to remove this bolt and it has resulted in stripping it. Only thing to do would be to remove the transmission and drill bolt out. Any help for a better alternative would be appreciated, dont want to deal with the time and pain of removing the trans.
What kind of transmission do you have? im assuming a manual trans. if you cannot remove the plug you can just remove the vehicle speed sensor and fill the trans through that hole.

Yes. If it still has the d series trans, i believe 1.9 qts is the fill spec.
The beauty and function about using the actual fill plug is the ability to know the trans has the proper amount of fluid, assuming the vehicle is level. Remove the fill plug and fill with oil until it seeps out, then reinstall the plug. When filling thru the speed sensor hole, you can easily overfill.
