Default transmission clicking

okay, heres the deal. my car is making a clicking noise, but only when it is IN GEAR. i know its not the bearings or axles, because when i coast in neutral it makes no clicking. so what could cause this noise? it IS something with the tranny, right? oh yah, and to make sure i get the right troubleshooting, this is a 5 speed LS tranny.

Try the easy stuff first, make sure the linkage is where its supposed to be, change the tranny fluid. Try the GM syncmesh stuff, in the EF forum, theres a big ol post on tranny fluids. Losts of testimonials there.
