Well, Ive seen A few Honda Transmissions apart, and it looked like the Differential was sititng there, then the gear assembly looks like its one big unit that slides in...


A Friend of Mine has a F22a1 accord, 5 speed, and the tranny is pretty messed up, Hard to go into 3rd gear, Pops out, grinds....

most of the the transmission places here charge 375 to drop and replace the tranny, and then whatever else for the labor and parts..


So, we were thinking that we just drop it and do the work ourselfs, but what would need replacing, Any gears? maybe a double second synchro,?

Im looking for some diagrams of a honda transmission, or how to go about taking it apart and what to replace


i was watching street tuner challenge ( lol) , and it looked like the guy just laid the differential in, and then slid in the whole gear assembly then put it back together, thats what made me start thinking,

i mean i just looked on a page and it said a synchro set i guess it was 5 pieces was 100 bucks,

Im really looking for someone to give me a walk through of how its gonna come apart, like when i pictured doing it, i picture me taking the case apart and just gears and parts falling all over.. lol
