Trans Issue?

Trans Issue?
OK, so here's what I've been told.
Go to put car into 3rd gear it pops outta gear and grinds...she said it's getting stuck between 2nd and 3rd maybe? I'm not sure. but anyways, it pops outta 3rd gear and grinds. Only thing I could think of is she blew out 3rd gear but I dunno. Anyone else got any ideas?
