tranny question?
I have a 90 model tranny out of a sedan dx .. it took a **** .. my friend had a tranny out of a 89 crx and it geared really high .. like i can get it up to 85 before i change into third.. 4th and 5th are so high it just wont even pull anymore. whats the difference between the two tranny.. both tranny came off of d15b2 blocks??
The 90 model tranny pulled the car fine.. The 89 model tranny pulls first and second and third fine .. its like you can ride in third with out ever changing to fourth and fifth............... thanks for your help..

Gear ratio's and/or final drive is much taller. I wouldn't worry about it being so tall because Honda has, in many cases, put different tranny's on the same motor when they put that motor in different cars. I say enjoy it, and enjoy the great gas milage that should go with it.
