im about to buy a 97 jdm gsr tranny for 550...the guy says only thing is that i need 2 new seals for where the axles go into and said its less than 10 bucks...can anybody tell me what seals is he talking about if anyone knows? thanks

 

They're the axle seals (#16 in the pict).... officially called the "oil seals (40x62x8)" at any Honda or Acura dealership. Normally I see them cost around $2-$5 each but it may all depend on different models.

 

also...what is the difference between a USDM gsr and JDM gsr tranny?? ...also, is the axle seals (oil seals) hard to put on or does it just fit right in? thnkas
