tranny leaking fluid
i recently wreaked my 94 del sol and today i was taking my b16 swap out to put it in my new project. when i pulled the half-shaft out of the tranny, i pretty much got covered in synchomesh . it wasn't leaking before i pulled the half-shaft out or i would've noticed it (would've been laying in it to be exact.) my question is (not to sound too much like a novice) is pretty much that it shouldn't do that? correct? i'm kinda hoping that there's just a seal in the tranny that's screwed up and not anything really serious.

check the axles...if it is the axles make to buy new oil seals for the tranny...trust me do it now so you want have to replace them later down the line. I found out the hard way...just swapped in a new tranny for my y8 and the oil seal bugged on me...now i have to take the driver side axle out and replace just that stupid oil seal....

I hope this is not the case, but if that is what happened please just take your car to jiffy lube for repairs.

Re: (Skunk.Werks)
yeah after i got the engine and tranny out, i checked the axle seal and it's a little messed up, it's not too bad, but i'm going to change it out before i put the swap in my other sol. better safe than sorry.

bring the seal you take out to honda and have them give you the exact same because there are like 5 of those seals for B series engines. Mine leaked so bad.....fawking thing just make sure its the right one!
