Tranny Problems....
My problem is 1st to 2nd gear shifts at the track.
When I take it out 1st and put it to 2nd gear, it does not go in right away. It gets stuck in the position in the begining where it supposed to go to 2nd gear (w/o grinding), then it goes in to second. (Hopes that makes sense)
Also another problem I have with the trans is:
When Im crusing and down shift to slow down, 4th, 3rd are fine, but it wont go to second.
Any help would be great. Thanks.

Re: Tranny Problems.... (FIxALPHA)
Sounds like the throw-out bearing need to be replaced, I would go ahead and change the pilot bearing also. It also could be if the car has been in a very bad accident that bent the frame or if the shift linkage has been bent! But check the shift linkage.

Re: Tranny Problems.... (11sec.ALL MOTOR)
i could probably tell you this on the phone but im lazy... 90 percent sure you blew the synro... whats happening is the the input shaft is spinning at a different speed then the output shaft(which happens in 1st 2nd and third gear) and because the syncro is bad the syncro is taking longer to match the speeds and slide into gear... just finished pulling apart mt first trany in school...hahaha...bump if anyone else has another idea...
