Tranny problems...*sigh*...
So lately I've been having problems with my tranny (clutch??) and I'm not sure what's going on. When the car is warm, there is a significant amount of resistance (i.e. doesn't go in unless you force it, which I don't like doing) when upshifting, especially 2nd and 3rd, and also especially under hard acceleration/high RPM. If I let the RPMs drop to where they want to be for the next gear it slides right in though. This made me think it was a synchro issue, but I am always nice to them, honest!
This morning though, when I went to start the car, I had it in gear (since I park on a steep driveway) and the clutch fully depressed, and it bucked like the clutch was still engaged or something. That's making me think it's something to do with the clutch (which would also explain why I have to wait for the revs to fall to shift). Anyone have any ideas what it could be? I've already flushed/filled the tranny a few times with Honda MTF (didn't do much) and also Castrol GTX (same results). Let me know if you need any more information.

I'm very sure it's a Clutch/PP issue. Spring seats on the pressure plate loosen and the clutch drags enough to cause those problems. Same thing happened to me. Only when warm. It actually went through phases getting worse and then better. Replaced with Exedy organic and all was well. On what motor is this? Stock ITR clutch/pp caused me probs. The stock PP frequently goes on these things.
Thanks! This is on a stock GS-R with 62,000 miles. I guess I'm gonna have to spend a little more of that next paycheck prematurely
Oh well, maybe I can find an ITR clutch/pp cheap, I like the way they grab

Anyone else? I don't want to end up spending mad bank only to find out I just had to put some fluid in the cylinder or something (yes, I checked that already

Yep, sounds like a spring probably got loosed and jammed up your clutch. That's why you gotta wait to shift, and when you start it, it jumps forward. CLUTCH IS NOT DISENGAGING. Hope that your flywheel isnt damage.
