If you want someone to fix it, there is the yellow pages for that.

your synchros could be completely blown up, which could have slowly progressed from grinding into the gears, then to them not going in at all, and possibly having shrapnel tear up other gears...the only other thing i can think of that would only affect 2 of the gears would be one of the shift forks inside the transmission... if you know how to use the proper tools (i.e. snap ring pliers, feeler gauges), have patience, and can follow directions really well, i would think that you could grab a manual and rebuild it yourself. unfortunately, you're probably going to have to pull it out, open it up and go from there. search for pics of the interior of just about any tranny (unless you already know what it is supposed to look like) so you can tell what isn't right, in case it isn't obvious. as to the price of the parts, call your local honda dealer and compare it to other parts stores prices...don't forget to get a very detailed service manual...chilton's manuals (i think it's chilton's) don't really have any info on the interior tranny workings. you will need these. don't underestimate how important these instructions and specifications are. just think of it this way: if you take a short cut or do something you're not quite sure about, it could cost you your life (or someone else's) if it fails at just the wrong moment. some things are unavoidable, but don't be sloppy or lazy... good luck!
which two gears won't go in? 1/2, 3/4, i'll guess 3/4. you might have broken a shift fork, do you hear any rattleing noises coming from the tranny when you drive? more info would help determine what wrong with the tranny!
