Default Tranny problem?

How can you tell when a clutch is going out? Today on the way home from work
my rpm's were at 5000 and I was only doing 75 mph. Stock crx si tranny. It was fine on the way to work. Thanks in advance.

Drive up a big long hill, like interstate in the mountains. In 5th gear, while you're trying to accelerate, push the clutch pedal partway in, just enough so the engine starts revving up. A slipping clutch feels like that when you're not actually pressing the clutch pedal.

Try that & immediately let out the clutch pedal while your foot is still on the gas. Does the clutch grab or does it let the engine continue to race? If it grabs then your clutch is OK.
