Need help!..............
I have a '00 Si tranny on my LS/VTEC. I put a ITR LSD in it about 6 months ago, but the CV shaft inner joint casing on the passenger side wobbles(I can wiggle it if I shake it by hand....it also makes the car shake over 55 mph or so). I have tried several driveshafts and they all have the same results. When I put the LSD in, I don't remember seeing parts 9-12 (see above). That doesn't meean they were not there.....I just don't remember, but I definitely DID NOT get any kind of "shim" or anything of the sort....just new OEM LSD bearings and went to town. Can anyone help me.....please!!.....

 

9-12 is spacer and snap ring. that could be where the wobble is coming from

 

it sounds like a damaged diff. does it leak trans fluid? however, even if you did forget those parts it still sound like you damaged the diff. so, take the trans apart take look at the diff.

 

It doesn't leak any fluid at all. Is it really possible to break the ITR LSD so easily? I've probably only got 185 whp....and the LSD only had about 7k miles on it from the donor.

Does the casing wobble or the shaft going into the transmission wobbel? What is the condition of the splies at the end of your shaft casing? Use a mic/caliper to measure the inside and ouside and make sure there isn't any taper.

Test by pulling the driver side intermediate shaft and stick it in the pass side shaft hole. If it wobbles on that side, your splines are screwed.
