Default Tranny Help

I have a 95 LS tranny, and ive been experiencing some whining noise. i can start to hear it in 4th, and it gets audible in 5th. at first, i didnt know what the heck it was, til i did some research, found out its the ISB. ive been looking around on acuraautomotiveparts.org, and i dont know what i should get. anyone mind helping a brotha out? . plus anyone know any shops in SoCal area that can fix this little bunch for me? kinda been broke lately doing other repairs, lol. thanks for the help!

EDIT*** found out what parts i need, while im at it what other bearings should i replace? and which oil seals should i order too? and does anyone know a reputable shop i can go to that wont charge me too much

usually 5th gear whines are from your countershaft end bearings or your final drive carrier bearings. when your ISB goes you start to hear your transmission make noise at idle with the clutch out. (which goes away when u press the clutch pedal down)

ISB makes either a slight grind or a whine sound at idle clutch out, as well as 4th gear or 1:1 (which on 5spd is 4th gear) it tends to whine. If you are experiencing these things then its most likely an ISB.

Either way, once the tranny is apart you can obviously tell which bearings are shot.

I get the same suttle whine in all gears with my brothers car. Not harsh. as it can be drowned out by the normal engine noise. Think it mite be low on trans fluid?
