my tranny shifts into the gears but the car doesnt move it feels like if it was in neutral...in other words i could have the car in first,start it and it doesnt stall out..i could have it in any gear and it will just rev up..the clutch depresses normal..i was thinking i need a tranny...any help would be appreciated.....

 

sounds like your diff is gone,check your axles
make sure ther in all the way.If there in it's
your tranny.good luck.

Chevy tranny?

Ford motor?

need a little background before I say your axle popped out.

did the speedo work correctly before?

does it still work now even though car won't move?

 

speedo worked fine before...but I believe in any gear now it doesn't work

 

wait I just checked it and the speedo does work....the car just won't move....

 

false alarm problem was my right side axle pops out a lil bit from the tranny and not allowing the car to run....I popped it in it works but after a couple hundred feet it'll pop out...

LOL you do win Mista Bone.....hey do you know any site or can you give me any help in rebuilding an h-series tranny I have as a spare,I want to build it to have real short gear ratios,the same or even better than any b-series tranny.....and would that be an expensive project to do??I have the hookupz on getting my tranny worked on,I just need to find the parts I.e. gearing,synchros,and getting an aftermarket LSD and whatever I need to get those gears shorter...thanks....
