Default tranny grinds

My tanny is grinding like crazy, I cannot shift even slightly fast.
Its not a huge deal at the moment, but how can I cheaply get rid of this, get a used tranny, with the possibility of it doing the same, or rebuilding mine?
The car is a 92 Si HB with the D16Z6.
Thanks

Sorry man, but it sounds like you syncros. The safest thing to do is rebuild, but its a pain in the ***. The only prob with getting a used tranny is that you dont know its history or if it has the same problems you are trying to get rid of.

As the D tranny god..........
1-2 shifter fork is toast.
$50 in parts plus 1 hour to install fork IF tranny is out of car.
Figure 5+ hours if tranny still incar.

Hey Mista Bone, my tranny also grinds when shifting to 2nd fast. It also grinds when down-shifting from 3rd. What would I need to repair this??

Dont forget to push the clutch pedal in when you shift

1-2 shifter fork ($50) and 4-5 hours of time if you've been practicing.
