Is this a Tranmission Problem or what
I have a 94 GSR with 150,000 miles with stock clutch and transmission. Recently shifting gears has been a problem in that I can’t slide it into gear when the car is on. When the car is off gear changing is fine. When I start the car and try to put it in 1st or reverse I have too use a lot of force and it still won’t go in, also the RPM start to drop when I am trying to push it in. Is this perhaps a gear synchro problem or a transmission problem? I don’t think that it is the clutch b/c I can start the car fine and the pedal feels good too. Please any info will be greatly appreciated. I also changed my transmission fluid, maybe 800 miles ago and I filled it up through the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) until fluid leaked out the fill plug.
Thanks,
Paul

Really the pedal feels fine, still stiff. If it is the clutch and I try to replace it myself with an EXEDY RACING CLUTCH stage 1, what should I look for when I take the transmission out?
Also did some searching and couldn't find a site with pics on a "do it yourself clutch install” for a 94 integra GSR, any links that you guys have would be very nice and helpful.

its the pressure plate or clutch. Maybe the release bearing as well. Bottom line is that you will probably have to drop your tranny. But first get a buddy and check to see your clutch slave is moving the release fork properly. If it is, drop the tranny like Eddie Murphy.

def. check the slave if it's moving then your going to need to drop the tranny and change the clutch, it's time for one anyways. but it does sound alot like a pressure plate wear problem

It wouldnt be a pressure plate. If that was the case then you wouldnt be able to do **** and it would probably be noisy because pressure plate issues normally is something broken like fingers on the plate. Try to bleed the clutch system just like you would with the brakes, if not that check your master cyl. and slave cyl... thats just about all it could be with what you are describing. What probably is happening is one of them is its not fully disengaging.. thats why it is hard to get into gear with the car on.

see if number two moves. there is a little hydraulic cylinder bolted on with two 12mm bolts that push it, you cant just see the fork, its located beneath a rubber boot.
