Default TPS question

Just wondering if a tps could go bad. I tried recalibrating it but it would not get close to spec, either I had it perfect at w.o.t and at close throttle it was really off or the opposite.

They can go bad but not often. Does the car run ok when you set it for closed throttle? I just set mine at closed throttle and don't pay any attention to WOT.

it can go bad. check with an analog voltmeter on the feedback wire, it should sweep evenly with an even opening and closing of the butterfly

See it seemed fine, but the only problem was it would not get close to spec. So whats more important, wot or just at idle ?

I'd be more concerned about idle, my car had a lumpy idle and it took me ages to get it just right. What voltage are you setting it at? and how is you idle?
