tps problem!PLEASE HELP!
ok i have my poormans type r and i checked for codes and it threw a code 7.my question is theres a plug going to my tps and another set of wires coming from it goin to a sensor on top of my manifold.
anybody know whats the sensor on the manifold for and if i try to switch them will anything happen.im trying to see if they got the sensors in the wrong plug.

any tps of the same year (obd) system... i think even sohc will work.
if your talking about a sensor ontop of the manifold. sitting to the right. then it might be your purge valve. does it have 1 hose? if so it should run to the charcoal canister

specify engine harness been used...my gsr harness has an extra 2 wire plug just hanging no cel codes with s300.....
dont mix the tps and map i think u can burn the ecu....but they both plug into each other...
that extra plug is for evap or something else emission related

Some back story for everyone because you aren't getting all the details from the OP.

Why don't you get the cheap multimeter and calibrate the damn TPS you have? You know if you buy a new one you will HAVE to have a multimeter because these things DON'T come "pre-calibrated"?
ok ill try to get a pic.but as for tryin to get it off do i have to saw the screws off?thats what i read in some and do they sell them seperate?
Whats the code for? Why are you changing the sensor without putting a meter on it and checking the voltages off it? Get the pinouts for your ecu and check for broken connectioons in that tps circuit. Get the diagrams off the internet and post it here and I can help more.
it was reading a o2 sensor code i reconnected the wires and now a code 7 appears tps sensor.and im tryin to see if i can get a hold of a multimeter.on the ecu does it say which one it is?im guessin its a p28
also when i unpluged the connector for the sensor there was like black marks inside like it was burnt but not sure if it was grease or something on it or if it is burnt or can it even get burnt?and can the wrong ecu cause this to happen?
Okay stop here go and buy borrow steal make a meter... Or yake it to a shop theres no point in helping if your gonna keep half fast checking things. Ill help when I get a meter post all your engine setup year make. And you post a diagram. **** dont fix itself
