TPS Issue
I have been having an isolated issue where my car jerks after it warms up and while cruising. I noticed that it seem to happen on my way to work right around the same time, after around 20 mins of driving and after hittnig a little trafic.
I have islodated it down to my TPS. I was logging my TPS voltage and I can see it holding steady at around 1.2V while cruising around 40mph. Then suddenly it drops to 0v for a second which causes the fuel cut and the jerking. It pops right back up to 1.2v and then drives fine. It does this around 3-5 times on my 30min drive to work.
I have checked the voltage and I did not find any dead spots. I seem to have been able to have a temporary fix where I calibrated the sensor with as high of voltage as I could, around .9v at idle. This seem to help but I did notice it jerk once or twice the last few days.
It is hard to trouble shoot with a DVM as it only happens intermentantly and I need to be driving to notice it.
I guess either the sensor is going back or there is some short in the wire to the sensor somewhere. Anyone ever run into this issue?
