tps code 7 prob!
im throwing code 7 i had to put a new tps on when i did the swap cuz the one it came with was broke i set it a .5 volts and it still throws 7 so i tryed another tps and it still throws code 7 what else could it be? btw i rest the ecu every time.
With the ingition switch to the "on" position, what is the voltage? It should be 0.5v as you have stated. Now, turn the throttle rotor to WOT - What is the voltage now? It should be around 4.5v if not, you may have a bad TPS or just need to keep dialing it in.

Ok - now you need to give us more info. What kind of car? Civic? Accord? 'Teg?
Also, stock motor or do you have a swap and if so what motor?
The more info. you can give us, the better as we can give some other troubleshooting tips.

Sorry must have been mistaken.

Since it is not a recommended procedure to remove TPS's from Honda throttle bodies, the only sure-fire way to get rid of this code is to install another TB with the TPS still rivetted on it.
I had this problem with my swap. Rather then wasting my time (or AFTER wasting my time) ohmin and voltin I decided to head up to my workplace's spare parts room where I found a suitable TB. After the switch, the code was no more.
Note that this was all after I swapped TB's and TPS's that were lying around just to be certain that it wasn't just a bad combination.
