Default Torque sequence for B18C1 valve cover?

I've done some searching...no luck. What is the order? Thanks.

For valve cover? or head? For valve cover, the sequence isn't significant, just be sure not to overtighten or the studs WILL break. I think it's like 7 lbs/ft.

7.2lb*ft

3 1
4 2

Do this on teh inner four and then the outer four. That's teh pattern.

One more question...is it necessary to replace the rubber grommets that each bolt sits on?

Not unless they are rotted.

The Helms manual doesn't show a specific sequence. The above is the way I do mine, never had a problem. 7.2 ft/lbs
