A tool section sounds like a great idea! never used an omega engine stand but they seem to offer quite a few different models...

Not gonna happen. Not if you cannot say why you need one of what the purpose of one would be. Just asking for a vague section aint gonna cut it.

why dont we need one?

there is alot of honda brand tools that people dont know about. there is also alot of crappy tools out there that people should know about. for example it would be nice to know what engine stand best fits honda engines. what tools are you best bang for buck, what tools have stood the test of time. does this not sound like a good idea?

It sounds like a good idea but I don't see how we need a whole section on it. Maybe a sticky at best.

tons of forums have a tools only subforum. just go look around for those and youll see what kind of value there is in it. top of my head is the pirate4x4.com forum. it's great.

I didn't say there was not a value in it. But as it stands you don't even have enough info in any thread to even be stickied. Petition a mod to open it for discussion in their private forums and you MIGHT get lucky.

if you saw value you probably wouldnt have asked what the purpose would be and immediately shot it down... just sayin...

I would be in for a tools section. I cannot think of any legitimate reason not to. A little code or whatever is no big deal. Especially since these guys are using a cookie cutter forum setup.

I asked because the amount of threads SPECIFICALLY centered around tools is small. I don't see the demand to create a whole forum for tools that rarely gets used. Just my experience since I've been on the forum.

In any case NONE of you has even attempted to start a list or resource HERE at HONDA-TECH. You want a tool resource? Start one. Don't refer to one on another forum. Do some leg work and start your own.

Again, just asking for it aint gonna get you one. You don't even have enough to get yourselves a sticky in THIS forum. I'm not trying to shoot any of you down, as if I controlled what forums get created or not, but all you've done so far is link to another forum.

I just tried to search and maybe cobble together some old threads to use to kick-start your tools sticky/section and frankly this was all I came up with.

here are a few that i found with a quick search of GDD...

https://honda-tech.com/forums/general-discussion-debate-40/tool-talk-impact-wrench-2759011/
https://honda-tech.com/forums/general-discussion-debate-40/craftsman-air-compressor-2978234/
https://honda-tech.com/forums/general-discussion-debate-40/whats-name-tool-socket-2965092/
https://honda-tech.com/forums/general-discussion-debate-40/dewalt-cordless-impact-wrench-opinions-please-2747359/
https://honda-tech.com/forums/general-discussion-debate-40/harbor-freight-torque-sticks-2535278/
https://honda-tech.com/forums/general-discussion-debate-40/oil-filter-socket-101-a-2763871/

I see frequent threads on GDD about tools, I'm not saying that they don't
belongs there cause General Discussion and Debate and Tech/Mics tend to
encompass all the threads that don't have a specific forum or subforum to
post in. IMO a tools subforum would be a good source of information for
people learning to work on cars, people asking what is the best tool for the
job, where to get a good deal on tools etc.

I like the idea. I think it should be a garage and tool section to broaden the audience and range of topics.
