First of all, why would you want to stick something in the cam gears to lock them in place? Are you trying to tighten the cam gear bolt? All you have to do is use an adjustable wrench and old down on the camshaft. No need to buy specialty tools for a simple job, folks.

he wants a tool because vtec motors dont have the flat spots on the cams. they have holes in them you can lock with allen keys but they dont do that great of a job

IF he is referring to a DOHC VTEC motor, then it is possible to use a 19mm pry bar and lock down the crank pulley...with the timing belt still attached of course. The torque spec for the cam gear bolt is less than 30lbs ft. if I remember correctly.

evolution industries has one for 25 bucks....so you can lock cam gears while adjusting them..one piece design specialy for b series...aftermarket cams live sk2 and bc..dont have the holes so you can use the 2 drill bits...so you have to find another way to torque cam gears and adjust cam gear angles...
