Default Too Much piston ring endgap???

Hey guys just had a question just bought some new rings for my b18a and i measured the end gaps and they came out to .020. now do you think thats too big??? and also i know theres a guy on here that came up with a pretty good way to clock the rings so it doesnt burn that much oil has anyone came across that?
