Default Too much oil?

What would happen if someone accidently put say an extra quart of oil into a d16 motor and drove maybe only a couple of days for like 100 miles. Do you think there would be any damage, I've heard that the oil doesn't lubricate well cuz it gets smote up into bubbles.

also if you overfill, you can risk getting oil on the spark plugs.

Do you guys think these things happen instantly, after a 100 miles, or do you have to go for a whole 3000 miles before the damage is done?

the problem i mentioned will most likely happen during the first time you start your car, just pull out your plugs and check them out. there should be no oil on them.

check your sparkplugs, and look for oil/blue smote out the exhaust to indicate any "blown" seals.

I ran my CX with two oil fills in it for a day, so whats that, 6 quarts total?
man the poor motor was drowning, and that explained its very poor performance.

LOL.....

I drained it all and added 3 fresh quarts, the car runs like a champ still

Well, we drained about a quart of oil out and the oil is just under the fill line now, dang. We checked a spark plug, you could use it as an eating utensil it was so clean (just changed them like 500 miles ago) and no smote, so I guess everything is coo. We shall see
