too much oil!!!!!
88 crx Si
Oil is all over my engine it appears to be leaking everywhere.
Sometimes after driving a bit I can see it pool up in between the head and the exhaust header gasket. what is happening here?
Also when i took the plugs out there was oil on the threads. The oil wasn't anywhere else just the threads. Can it get on the threads but not further down where the spark occurs? Or is the oil covering all of it but just burning off towards the bottom. It doesn't seem like it's burning oil cause there isn't any blue smoke.
Any clues? thank, Sam

First off go get a few cans of engine degreaser cover the distributor to keep water out of it soak the engine down with the degreaser per the cans instruction. I do this at a car was bay and then pressure wash the engine down. Now with things clean it will be easier to find your leaks. Look at the valve cover gasket, spark plug seals in the valve cover
I did that already. I'm mainly wondering about the oil on the plug threads and the oil that seems to be coming out at the exhaust header. The valve cover gasket and all the gaskets that come with that little kit are new.
Where are you talking about the oil leak at the header ? Is it leaking onto the header under the car or where the header mounts to the head? As far as the spark plugs go if the oil seals in the valve cover were leaking you could just have left over oil in the spark plug holes. Pull the plugs and clean the tubes out and see what happens good luck
if you are standing in front of the car and looking at the head you can see oil leaking. it is in between the head and the metal gasket for the header.
Sounds Like its time for a new head gasket. Check and see if there is oil in the coolant or the reverse. You might want to do a compression test also
