we have toda b cams installed on a b16. we are plannin on going turbo with this engine. will we have to switch back from the toda's or can i keep them in??

try it, a friend of mine has spec B's in a turbo Gen 5 hybrid. He ran 11.8@121 at the track at 18 psi. GSR motor and tranny in an Si HB.

 

they`ll work, just need to get them on a dyno and dialed in.

 

I would think they would be more of a hindrance than an advantage.

If you have a high revving turbo and a BUILT block, you could probably lay down some serious power. But the extreme lift/duration specs of the B's would be kind of counterproductive, I would believe. Of course I know nothing about turbos.

 

I would think the spec b's would have too much overlap for a turbo street motor.

That would be interesting - spec a's w/ sc... presuming you had the fuel and air sorted out...

 

ditto..I heard u'll kill ur motor.
U can try Spoon, Spec A's, ITR's, CTR's, Top Fuel as these arent high lift cams...
They will garner much horespower compared to stock GSR cams...
