if you don't care too much about tire life, i'd recommend Dunlop SP Sport FM901's. they are really good tires...it's pretty hard to break them loose.

actully those i've heard sucked. i've used bridgestone s0-3 very grippy but pricy.
yokohama avs es100 not as grippy as s0-3 but costs like 40 bucks less per tire.
i've heard good stories about azenis on the handling but not as good in launch
and tire wear.

im on the es100's right now and had it for about 18K miles and its about to get new
ones. friend had azenis for about 12K and needs new one asap.

Azenis are pretty good, stiff sidewall but some people can launch with them.

i will use them for handling up canyon roads and i will also use them for launching at the track. I know the yokohama A032R is good on the grip factor on turns but how is it for launching and tread life

for a really nice all around tire i would highly suggest the yokohama es100. it was steel belts even in the sidewalls and weighs less than the runner up (falken azenis sport). falken azenis sports are good all around tires also but they weigh more and the tread life is down 40 from the es 100's.

if you didn't mind so much about tread life and want a really good tire check out...

bfgoodrich g-force t/a drag radial...if you can break them loose at the track to heat them up expect a very good launch.

kumho ecsta v700...good track tire but you'll have to have them shaved and heat cycled prior to use or it'll blister. five solo II and pro solo championships in 02 isn't a bad standing.

pirelli p zero corsa...pretty new tire as it came out this spring. it compromises comfort and noise for maximum grip and handling.

nitto nt-555II extreme r...a Y speed rating and the ability to last 15k make for a pretty sweet tire.

toyo proxes ra-1...good all around tire with nice performance, long life and a good price. speed world challenge cars in the gt category have been running on these since the start of the 03 season.

yokohama a032r...very good tire. if driven very hard on say a race track it will age and harden before they tread life is up. it also tends to be pretty damn noisey probably more so than an of the others i've stated.

good luck in whatever your decision is man.

ya azenis are pretty good, but i had a bad experience where i launched pretty high, my axle had alot of tension with the tires grabbing, n *snap* there went my axles.
