Default timing problem?

Today I took my car for a short drive and couldn't make it home. The car seems to idle low and when it is reved it sputters and pops. When you put it in gear and try to move it stumbles and cuts out. It has bran new spark plugs, wires, rotor and distributor cap. Not sure what the problem is, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am 99% sure they are in the right positions. It has been running fine for about a week. Not sure it it is running on 2 or 3 cylenders but it definatly doesn't sound/ feel to healthy.

Could be a bad wire, or the cap or rotor. Something tells me it's one of those parts you recently replaced. Did it have an idle problem before you tuned up the car?

I only install only 1 thing at a time. Last week I changed the plugs and this wknd I 'm replacing the cap & rotor and probably in 2-3 weeks if the car is still running fine, I 'll change the wires. Do one thing at a time!

Did you recently change the timing belt or have someone do it? I had a similar problem and it was my timing that was off by one tooth. Ran great afterwards.

The timing belt has been changed recently but not by me. The car idled pretty rough when i got it, the spark plugs were old same with the wires, cap, and rotor.
