Right now my timing is way off, and is currently sitting at 13' and i need to get it at 16' atleast, my problem is my distributor is all the way advanced (maxed out) and i cannot rasie it up any higher to TDC, does anyone knoe how i can correct this? My RPM does not go up or down its steady but my engine is (weird)

Can anyone tell me how i can correct this?

Sounds like you may have jumped a tooth, check your timing mark on your cam gear.

the quick way to check for the TDC is to look for the arrow on your timing belt cover and line up the lone mark on your crank pulley. if you need to realign, then the sure way is to remove the crank pulley and then align the mark on the oil pump to the mark on the crankshaft sprocket. then you also have to make sure that your camshaft(s) are with the up or dot mark at the top. but to me it definatly sounds like you are a tooth off (ouch time). make sure you don't go two teeth off so you don't do valve damage. good luck, gloria

Well if your cam to crank timing are correct - some thing is telling the ecu to retard timing. Okay... the ecu uses TDC, CYP, and CKP as input for timing to know when to fire number 1. and... uses Map, and TP for engine load for timing retard and advance. Okay... since the ecu knows when to fire number one. I know this becuase you don't have a hard start nor a misfire issue, right? I would start firs for a slight vaccuum leak. for, this make be cause a low vaccuum reading. I would also chech map sensor referrence voltage it should be 5 volts. Wait! if didn't you swap this motor on CRX? if so, I would go back and recheck your wiring.

Should repost what you did before this problem occurred.
