Default timing problem

i think i have a timing prob. with my car because ive just replaced the head on my b15y7 with a head from a b15b1 and i think i have the timing off by a little(or alot) im not sure. i think that because with first head it used to kick some hp at 4000rpm and pull hard all the way up to redline.
now it doesnt kick at all and it feels like it hits redline at like4500rpm. i just need to know if moving the timing belt around could have made that happen or is it just the cam from the other motor thats causing the power loss...any suggestions or opinions would help. thanx
