Default Timing Chain Question

I was wondering if there is any kind of aftermarket or even stock replacement for HONDA MOTORS to change from a timing belt to a timing chain... if so, list what motors this option is available for. This includes the appropriate sprockets, etc.

me too, but even if there was a conversion kit, id never want to deal with the noise. A motor designed to run a timing belt switched over to a chain, i would guess would be loud as crap.

Really? What makes you think that? Sorry if I sound like a newbie...

A long time ago, they used to use plastic teeth on the old muscle cars, I forget what type of plastic it was, but they used it because the noise created from the metal on metal chain was semi-loud. Hence thats why one of the first upgrades muscle car owners did was put in metal gears so the plastic wouldnt rip apart. Even for non-muscle cars, the gears only lasted approx 50k miles. This is just my theory, but i think the way the B and D series motors are designed, they would create alot of noise because of the way the belt is run. You would need to purchace new cam gears or cam gear, new water pump, new tentioner, new crank thing (i forgot what its called)
Just seems like alot of work and added noise.

i mean, changing a timing belt is a 2 hour task.
