I just put a H23A vtec it sounded fine before timing belt change

So I changed my timing and checked everything multiple time my marks, tdc, tension, I even just got the manual tensioner conversion kit.

Anyways when its park everything sounds fine but as soon as I start driving it starts sounding like crap and barely any power

 

If your cam timing is spot on, did you verify that your ignition timing is correct?

 

how would I do that exactly with the timing gun b/c a have an old one that was my grandpa

 

adjust your valves to spec.

 

The noise only comes when I brake its like a grinding/clunking noise and it didn't do it before timing belt change so what did I do wrong
