Timing belt blew - need help ASAP
Timing belt blew on the highway @3500 rpm, 91 Si D16A6.
Does anybody know if there is any chance the valves are ok.
I can turn the camshaft with a ratchet on the sprocket nut.Is there a way to find out if valves are bent without having to pull the head or installing a new belt.
Any info appreciated,
Mart

My d15b tbelt snapped on the freeway going ~4krpm. I was suprised, but it runs perfectly fine. You pretty much have to put on a new belt and do a compression check to know for sure.
