Damn it, i cleaned the intake mani and TB w/ cleaner, let the car warm up, pumped 87 octane and still way too much HC's. first run was 176 then 141 now back to 163. the 141 was w/ the autozone stuff.. as for idle, it's at 1000rpm. WHAT DO I DO NOW?!?!

 

what are the limits and final readings for HC CO% and NOx

post those up and i'll tell you what to do......

also make, model or car. engine size and modifications would help too

first you need to readjust the idle, that's too high of a idle for any honda.
second; what's the mileage on the engine? third got the stock header around? looks like the neuspeed header is not hot enough for the engine to fully burn off the gases.

 

Or maybe you need a new o2 sensor?

 

looks like it's EXTEREMLY rich at idle. 13% CO will kill you pretty damn quick.

DO you have a cat converter on that car? by those reading i doubt it. if you do it's doing absolutly nothing. check to see that the o2 sensor is working. and re-adjust your idle speed as well.

also check and set you ignition timing as well.........i would retard the timing to help lower HC and NOx on the driving test.

 

damn, i do have a cat, all those readings went up recently, i almost passed last time but HC was at 141. how do you check the o2 if it's working? timing is 20degrees which is 2 advance.

 

it might be because your motor is old. i just went to the ref and he said and not a lot of motors from 95 and below pass anymore.

 

so wat can i do to make it pass?

Damn that sux!!!! I know youve been having a hard time with this. I have a stock cat from my 97 if you want it, you can borrow it, i might need it someday, also do you have a fpr? maybe you could lean it out a little bit. that what we had to do to make our car pass, and we had h/cai. aol im me if your interested.

 

the thing w/ a fpr is that it's not street legal
