timing belt adjustment
ive searched on this but im having a problem i align cams align crank put belt on tension turn over 6 times itsa off 1/16th of an inch on crank so i redo it at least 15 times and does the same its because theres alittle slack between the cam and the crank. so i try turning over like 50 times and it still 1/16th of an inch off is this ok is this normal or shoulf i have some one do it or is there something thats not in the haynes manual that im missing as of now i have it all buckled up with that 1/16th of an inch error but it wont be started until i get ecu

Ok Speedy, your crank pulley mark may be a little off from the mark on the timing belt cover when the belt is on correctly. The important thing is to make sure the cam marks are lined up with eachother like the manual states.
yup, when i changed my timing belt the markers weren't lined up exactly, but if i moved the timing belt a tooth in either direction it was way off.
