timing belt ?
i just pick up a 99 integra gsr and when i pop the valve cover off today i notice the timing belt wasnt a honda belt but a napa belt and was kind of loose when i touch it (i could slip it off the cam gears easily). so my ? is do you guys think i need to change it out for a new oem one or just leave it as is with the napa timing belt in it? the car is completely stock with 107,000 miles on it. thanks in advance
The fact that it's a Napa belt isn't necessarily a problem (though for the cost of a new OEM belt, I'd probably just replace it). The real issue is the improper tension that your belt appears to be set at. If it were me, I'd pick up a new belt, water pump, tensioner pulley and tensioner spring, and do the replacement myself.
