Default Tie Rod problem (Need Help Please)

I posted this in the eg forum with no response, please help me.

I'm swapping my brakes with gsr's and the tie rod keeps giving me problems. It won't come off with beating the mess out the bolt to pop it up. The passenger side gave me problems too, but it eventually popped out and now the driver side is doing the same thing but the thread on the bolt is starting to get stripped out because of the beating that I'm doing. Nothing seems to work.
Is there an easier way of getting the tie rod off.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Try a pickle fork, which can be found at almost any auto parts store. Also, trying searching the forums; I know this has to be covered, or if not, look at how to separate the lower ball joint ---> nearly the same process.

Pittman arm/tie rod separator from autozone. $20 rental. Get the smaller one.

Leave the nut on to keep from mushrooming the threads.

Thanks, calling now cause I don't think that I will be able to get the nut back on the tie rod bolt because it's pretty mushroomed, so I need a new tie rod anyway.

Next time try hitting the knuckle instead of the tie rod.

Tie rod is $25 from Autozone. Perfect Circle brand. Might as well replace both sides.

You need 19mm and 22mm open-end wrenches to replace the tie rods.

Thanks, Pitman arm worked perfect. Now I have to wait on a tie rod cause Advanced Auto Parts didn't have one in stock. But no worries cause I'm getting new rear LCA so I gotta wait on those any way.
