Default Tial Wastegate???

35mm- up = what does this mean?
.45 spring and .8 spring = what does this mean?

I am asking because I have a friend that has a 99 si civic and has the fmax turbo kit, he doesnt want the wastegate that came with it. It said on the site that

Turbonetics External Wastegate
- 8 psi. spring is standard unless otherwise specified, what spring is that?

Please help out. Thanks....

the 35mm means the type of flange. i think there are 35, 36, and 38 mm flanges and the new ones are 40mm.

when it says .45 spring that means .45 bar or .45 * 14.5 = 6.5psi, that means that the wastegate will start by passing gases after 6.6 psi of boost has been made.

.5 bar will give you 7.25 psi and so on and so forth.

the spring is what determins what amount of boost in psi will build before gases start being bypassed so you don't build to much boost

the flange is what ever is welded onto the turbo maniforld, that has to be determined by who makes the mainfold. if it is being custom made the flange can be chosen, the only springs i know of that tial makes thats near 8lb of boost are the .5 bar which is 7.25psi and .6 bar which is 8.7 psi. you will have to look around or ask when you buy from the manufacturer if they have naything closer to 8 exactly. im assuming it owuld be like a .55 bar spring , but i don't know if they make those
