So my wifes friends 94 Civic DX automatic won't start and I looking for the cause. From what I could tell the fuel pump and system is good but I may not be getting spark. We changed the ignitor chip and still not starting. So I went to check the ECU for codes and I'm getting a Code 19: Automatic tranny lockup solenoid. Went through all the checks and it seems good besides the high resistance. I'll be replacing it soon. My question is can a bad solenoid stop the car from starting up or am I looking at possibly a few more problems.
