I know that coolant lines are connected to the throttle body to heat it so it doesn't freeze and stick in cold conditions. I live in Florida and anything like this could be unnecessary. Wouldn't this also heat the incoming air? Could there be any adverse effects by disconnecting these lines? Thank you for your help. Oh yeah, sorry. It's a 98 accord lx, 4 cyl, vtec.

Exellent, thanks for the fast response. I think this leaves me with a bigger issue. The intake manifold is molded to meet with the thermostat housing. Does the coolent work in the IM to cool it or heat it? After all it is bolted to the block. I also read about replacing the gasket where it meets the block.
