throttle body
can you bolt and use a B16a throttle body and intake manfold on a B18c???
and forgot to ask, if you can use a B16a throttle body and intake manfold will my factory B18c ECU run it???
thanks for your help guys
Yes you can use a 92+ B16A TB on a GSR intake manifold, but you need to use a GSR's throttle cable bracket on the TB itself.
no, a B16A intake manifold will NOT bolt up to a GSR head. The flange bolt holes are in an offset pattern and will not work. you're best bet is getting a Skunk2 intake manifold for the GSR head.....now that bolts right up and replaces the dual-butterfly 'snail shell' looking GSR intake manifold.
3) yes, you can use your GSR ecu with a single-butterfly intake manifold also. But it's best to eventually get it reprogrammed with a single-butterfly program....especially if you upgrade your camshafts.
fyi -- a single butterfly manifold is any of these intake manifolds: B16A/B17A/B18C-R/ Skunk2 /LS

yeah the Skunk2 manifold for a B16A/ITR/CTR head is a waste of money...you're better off buying a real OEM 'R' manifold. and again....the skunk2 manifold for GSR head is specifically made for the GSR head because of the different flange bolt pattern.... so an OEM ITR manifold will not bolt up to a GSR head....sorry.
I had the Skunk2 mani on my old gsr and I was very happy with it. I didnt even have the program for the different config and I gained 3-4 midrange hp and 8ft/lbs midrange torque. I liked it...
